HOW DO I REGISTER?

Follow the steps noted to register for the CPI Minor Program:

  1. Please fill out the following form and click submit at the end. This information will be sent directly to us in Costa Rica, and we will reply within two business days via e-mail to confirm the receipt of the form.
  2. With the confirmation of receipt of the application form, the CPI Admission’s Office will provide instructions about:

    a. How to secure your program by sending a $150 minor fee and a 10% non-refundable deposit for the homestay and tuition, which is applicable towards the total cost of your program.

    b. The minor contract – this will be included as an attachment in the confirmation. Both parent/guardian and minor student must sign the minor contract and fax to the CPI Admissions Office. The original should be brought to CPI on the first day of class.

    c. Confirmation of the lunch fee ($50 per week) and any transportation/b&b costs should you be studying at either Flamingo or Monteverde. These fees and the outstanding tuition may be paid on the first day of class.

    d. Faxed proof of health/travel insurance coverage. CPI recommends the company AVI; for additional details access the following website: www.cpi-edu.com/avi_international.htm

Please note that classes for new students begin every Monday.

Please note: If you are beginning your classes in Monteverde or Flamingo, we strongly recommend that you fly into San José the Saturday before your classes begin. That way, you may take a private shuttle to Monteverde or Flamingo on Sunday.

Before submitting your application please check that you have filled it in correctly.

PLEASE NOTE: Credit card payments can only be done in Costa Rica with the physical presentation of the card. Additionally, the card must be in the name of the student signing the voucher. Or in other words, teens may only pay with a credit card that is in their name. Should the teen not have a credit card in his/her name, the accepted forms of payment are: personal check in USD$ from US account, traveler's checks or cash. VISA cards and Mastercard cards are the only cards that are accepted.
