Clinical Observation (Minimum 2 week commitment)
If course participants wish to remain in Costa Rica after completion of the medical Spanish course, a CPI staff member can assist in arranging a clinical observation where medical students (at least 4th year) may shadow a physician at a hospital in the Central Valley. Students would be responsible for the cost of transportation to the clinic and room and board. Participants may stay the additional two weeks with their host family ($150 per week) or CPI may help in arranging a non-homestay accommodation.
