Social Work Program
CPI has designed a special social work program directed to professionals working in the social services. The seminar includes Spanish classes, professional talks, discussion groups and informational visits to the local social service community.
Spanish classes at CPI Heredia are scheduled Monday through Friday, 4 hours of class per day. Students are placed according to level based upon a written exam and oral interview. The maximum class size is four students per class. Small class size makes for optimum learning as students receive specialized attention from their professor.
Classes concentrate upon grammar and conversation, the necessary elements for communication. Professional vocabulary and practice interviews are also introduced during the first week of morning classes.
Spanish classes remain concentrated upon grammar and conversation; however, special focus is placed on relevant professional vocabulary, client dialogues as well as the important elements of multicultural awareness.
After classes there are optional cultural activities, such as: Latin dance class and cooking class.
