The Family Spanish Language Camp offers a variety of activities, eco-tours, and classes that will satisfy everyone’s specific interests and energy levels. Here you are a description of our special events that this program includes in one week:

Welcome Reception and Dinner- We welcome you in Tropical style to Tierra Magnifica Retreat Resort with a sunset poolside welcome reception and dinner!  We’ll go over the schedule of activities at this time so you can sign up for the exciting tours and activities planned for the week ahead.

Home-made Pizza  & Arts and Crafts Night- Learn from a local how to make your own friendship bracelets and necklaces, just like the beach vendors.

Cooking With Katia combines a lively game of charades and local cooking techniques.  This is a fun and very entertaining night for the whole family.

Group Dinner and Concert, Music is the universal language of world.  We’ll learn a few familiar Latin favorites, and together with our multi-talented, guitar playing  instructors we’ll serenade the restaurant.  We know you’ve always wanted to belt out La Bamba!

Parents Night Out and Kid Movie Night  The adults will slip on down to the beach hangouts for a night of tropical dining, live music and dancing.  The kids will be hanging out at Tierra Magnifica with our TM staff and grilled up dogs, burgers and chickens then settling in for a familiar kid friendly movie.

Dinner Beach Bonfire Party- Local musicians will join us for dinner at a beach bonfire party. The night heats up as we sway to the beats of local drums and strumming guitars around a spectacular bonfire. Feel free to bring your own instruments to join in the festivities or simply enjoy a few s’mores by the fire. *Cold drinks will be provided.

Sustainable Farm Tour and Horse Ride: Travel back  a 100 years to a tranquilo natural life style of simplicity and family. We’ll take you far down the Rio Nosara to the end of the road, where our friends will meet you with horses to escort you further down the river to a sustainable family farm.  You will learn about farming and wildlife, play in the river, ride horses and visit private waterfalls all on this amazing property. Tour includes homemade lunch cooked over an open fire.
