You may enter your homestay the Sunday prior to your first Monday class, and must leave no later than the Sunday after your last Friday class. If you would like to start your homestay earlier or stay extra nights beyond Sunday then you would only need to pay extra per night. Please note that if you arrive in June or July extra nights are limited based on availability.
Should your studies initiate at either our Flamingo or Monteverde sites, CPI has worked with local providers to facilitate the option of an arrival package. For those students who arrive to or depart from the Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José (SJO) and their programs start or end either at Flamingo or Monteverde, CPI offers to arrange both arrival and departure packages. These packages are not included in the tuition price as not all our students travel to these campuses; as such, it would be a separate fee for the night at the B&B and the transfer to Flamingo/Monteverde. The fee includes: free airport pick up, one night at the B&B in a shared room with typical breakfast and transportation to Flamingo/Monteverde on Sunday morning (please contact our Admissions office for specific pricing LINK). For the return flight, the same logistic would apply - transportation from Flamingo/Monteverde to Heredia, a night at the B&B, breakfast and free transfer to the airport.
For students only studying at our CPI Flamingo site in Guanacaste you may want to consider utilizing the Liberia International Airport (LIR) for your comfort as it is only 1 hour from the Flamingo area. CPI can pre-arrange a taxi service in advance for a discounted fee.
