As the CPI USA Admissions Representative, I am here to help students enroll in CPI. To submit your registration through our Colorado office, please use the link below my name which will send your registration to my desk.  I am available to answer your questions and I may be reached on our Toll Free number or by email.  I am pleased to assist you from my perspective as a US citizen, a parent of two CPI students and as a student myself.

A little about me: I have lived in Colorado for many years, where I have been in the hotel, restaurant and real estate businesses, primarily in the Vail Valley area.

I first came to CPI as a student in 2004 along with my son who was 13 years old.  I have worked as an Admissions Representative with CPI since that time.  I have returned each year and continue to improve my Spanish.  Both of my sons are quite fluid in Spanish – thanks to CPI!

The CPI staff and teachers are very professional, experienced and enthusiastic. The program is comprehensive, remarkably effective and flexible and the student body is extremely diverse - appropriate for students of all ages, backgrounds and Spanish abilities.

Each campus is superbly designed and equipped to provide an appropriate academic environment to enhance the learning opportunity. In addition, the surrounding environments provide ample grounds to practice Spanish. During the past 8 years, I have studied with CPI each year and have enjoyed all three beautiful CPI locations.

My two sons, Sam and Ben (now ages 21 and 17) have also enjoyed their experiences with CPI very much and we have all learned a great deal. My goal is to share my knowledge and insight regarding CPI from the perspective of a student, parent and a professional.  The registration process is simple, fast and efficient. I am eager to assist you with the process and look forward to hearing from you!

My name is Sam Thurston, and I work with my father Terence in CPI’s USA admissions office. As a CPI student since 2004 I would love to share my personal experience with CPI’s classes, homestays, apartments and activities, as well as life in general in Costa Rica.  During the summer of 2013 I worked as an intern at CPI Heredia, acting as the Assistant Student Coordinator.  This role gave me insight to how the school operates, while affording me the opportunity to help students have an enjoyable and satisfying learning experience.

As a Business Major and Spanish Minor graduated from Colorado State University, I am very familiar with the process of earning Spanish credits from CPI that count towards a degree you’re pursuing in the U.S.  CPI enabled me to earn my Spanish Minor from CSU in a much more effective and affordable way than traditional classes in U.S. universities.

The DELE exam is another valuable advantage that CPI can offer students.  In May of 2014 CPI prepared me for and administered the internationally recognized Spanish test, so I can speak from experience when advising students about the exam.
